Coworking Events in Cambridge & Ely

Our monthly coworking mornings for freelancers and small business owners are split across Cambridge and Ely and alternate month by month. They're designed for the same community, offering two different mornings, so you can pick whichever fits your postcode or your coworking needs (feed your belly or your brain!), or come to both, we won't stop you!

Cowork + Brunch: Cambridge, Wilde Aparthotels

The OG. The one that started it all, now with more room at the table (literally, we've upgraded). We've spent years location hopping to find the perfect setting and now we have it. The environment is welcoming and calm, the tables are great and have plugs, the food is fantastic. The sessions are designed to feel casual yet indulgent, a treat to yourself for whatever you're working hard to build.

  • 10:00 Turn up, grab a hot drink, say hello, less networking more getting settled in with friendly coworkers. If you're shy, find Sammi, she can talk for England. 

    10:30 Head down time. Two full tables of coworking, Sammi promises to be quiet and Miriam will encourage headphones.

    11:30 Brunch is served. Close your laptop and enjoy the fact you're being indulgent on a random weekday morning. 

    12:00 Back to it if you want, or just keep chatting if you don't. It's your time, do you! 

    1:00 Session ends (technically) but feel free to stay as long as you like. Sometimes we stay, sometimes we have places to be, but the seat is yours.

Cowork + Collab: Ely, Ely Work Collective

Same coworking energy, with the option of learning something new and applying it to your business from someone who actually knows their stuff. Each session, a co-host runs an optional interactive session in their area of expertise, think hands-on and useful, not a talk you have to sit through. We want you to have achieved something in these sessions with an actual takeaway.

Don't fancy the workshop that month? Totally fine, just cowork instead. Nobody's marking the register.

  • 10:00 Turn up, grab a hot drink, say hello, less networking more getting settled in with friendly coworkers. If you're shy, find Sammi, she can talk for England. Local bakes are out on the table from the start, we don't compromise on food! 

    10:30 Head down time. A private room is waiting for a power-hour of coworking, Sammi promises to be quiet (or sit outside!) and Miriam will encourage headphones.

    11:30 The optional bit, this month's co-host runs their interactive session. Carry on coworking if it's not for you.

    12:00 Lunch, pre-order directly with EWC ahead of time if you want it sorted for you, or bring your own from home. 

    1:00 Session ends. If you want to stay for the rest of the day, you can pre-book a discounted desk at EWC as part of your Cowork + Collab session.

FAQs

Do I need to bring anything?

Just your laptop and whatever you're working on. We'll sort the coffee, the table and the company.

I'm new, is it weird if I don't know anyone?

Everyone was new once. Our sessions are intentionally small to eliminate the feeling of overwhelm when you turn up. We constantly welcome new and old faces, so you won't be alone and besides, we pride ourselves on being friendly and attracting like-minded coworkers, so you’re in good company.

Can I just come for part of it? 

Of course. Come for the brunch, stay for the work, or the other way round, we're not precious about how you spend your time at our event.

Is this only for certain types of business owners? 

No. If you work for yourself or just fancy some company, you're in the right place.
