We host events for founders and business owners in Ely and the surrounding areas to provide an opportunity to build genuine relationships and hold space for spiritual curiosity without the pressure of formal networking. Through regular events, online community and our podcast, we love to bring businesses together whether they are able to work together on a project or just connect with other like-minded individuals. We know that genuine friendships have been formed through our community and we absolutely love that!
A little bit on our story…
The Kin Club was founded by Trish and Alice following an epiphany moment in the desert by Trish. Formal networking has always felt challenging and unaligned for us both and we wanted to create a space that was the opposite to that.
When you walk through the door to one of our events, or you turn on the podcast, our goal is always to make you feel like you’re just sitting down with friends. Our in person events fill that missing piece of human connection which so many solo entrepreneurs can feel, our online community is amazing for recommendations and sharing what you’re working on and our podcast is a chance to hear the real life behind running businesses (and usually listen to us bicker, or banter as some people prefer to call it!)
There’s three ways you can join us…
Join us at Breakfast Club
We host monthly breakfast clubs which are a chance to sit down with a drink and delicious vegan pastry (thank you Prosper!) Sometimes we have a guest speaker sharing their expertise and sometimes it’s just us, chatting and getting crafty. It’s two hours to switch off from the pressure of the to-do list, while still technically working, and meet people who get it, in an environment that doesn’t ever feel like being stood at the front of a stuffy boardroom giving your sales pitch.
Listen to our podcast
We record bi-weekly podcast episodes where we sit down and talk about the reality of running businesses. We share the fun bits, talk about the challenging bits and answer real questions. People have said it’s like sitting down with a friend having a fun but genuinely honest conversation and that’s always been the goal. Sometimes it’s just the two of us, sometimes we are joined by guests, it’s always a fun time and usually we share something genuinely useful.
Work with us on your business
We offer joint packages including branding, website design, photography, copywriting and brand strategy for freelancers and small businesses across the UK, built by people who've actually run small businesses, not just designed for one. We know what you're up against because we're up against it too, and we've assembled a knockout team of freelancers to meet your specific brand needs.
Sometimes we branch out and host bigger events where we collaborate with amazing local founders to tap into so much more. These are usually in the style of a day retreat where you’re held, taught, fed and nourished for a day to support both you and your business.
